Samsung Introduces 12 New Dapps to its Mobile Blockchain Keystore. Gotchu and Blockchain platform Aergo are included

The global leader in smartphone manufacturing, Samsung has introduced 12 new decentralized apps (dapps) to its mobile wallet marketplace – Samsung Blockchain Keystore. Nearly half of the new dapps are gaming titles.

According to media outlet Decenter, the new gaming dapps include:

  • DarkTown
  • Yangpa Kisadan (literally “Onion Knights”)
  • Spookiz Link Puzzle (the first three developed by Itam Games)
  • Chinese firm Brink Asset’s Crypto Fishing, which offers players ethereum rewards
  • Playdap’s DozerBird
  • Axie Infinity, developed by an eponymous Vietnamese company on South Korean blockchain accelerator Hashed’s portfolio
  • South Korean cryptocurrency monitoring platform Lyze’s dapp is another new addition
  • Linka, a financial services and credit platform
  • Axial Entertainment’s Master Wallet cryptocurrency wallet
  • Reditus, a tokenized bonds transfer platform, has also been added
  • Gotchu, a blockchain and cryptocurrency data service
  • Blockchain platform Aergo, developed by long-term Samsung partner Blocko

Following the addition of these dapps, the Keystore now has a total of 30 dapps, with the company keen to add more in the coming months.
Ten of the dapps in the gaming space, the newer additions join the previously added CryptoDozer, MyCrytoHeroes, CryptoKitties and The Hunters.

Most recently, Samsung launched three models of a new blockchain-friendly mobile device, Klaytn Phone, made in association with Ground X, a subsidiary of chat app company Kakao. The Klaytn Phone is an exclusive limited edition of the recently introduced Galaxy Note 10 phablet, with two Klaytn Phone versions of its Galaxy Note 5 Plus version also available: a 256G version plus a 512G model.

Moreover, Samsung is a member of a state-backed “consortium-type” blockchain network that strives to allow citizens to ditch paper-based certificates, degree certificates, insurance claims documents and employee ID cards, in favor of a mobile-based blockchain solution.
