DApp Contest Update

Dear AERGO Community,

Here is an update on our Dapp contest. We have a lot of developers from all over the world signed up to the contest. One overwhelming feedback is for additional time to develop the Dapp. We may have underestimated the time necessary to create a great Dapp. To ensure that all developers have adequate time to develop and test their Dapp, we are extending the deadline to complete and submit the Dapp by September 30, 2021. Winners will be announced in October 15, 2021. We have informed all parties, including the Samsung Blockchain team, who are part of our judging panel. Thank you for your support and participation.

Blocko will host a hackathon contest to find and award the best DApps from the developer community. The Samsung Blockchain team will be part of the judging panel and lend their support to the list of DApps in the millions of Samsung mobile devices. Sponsored by the AERGO Foundation, AERGO will be awarding token prizes to the top DApps.

Prize:

  • 500,000 AERGO token purse
  • 250,000 First place
  • 100,000 Second place
  • 50,000 Third place
  • 20,000 Fourth place
  • 10,000 Fifth place
  • 5,000–14 participants picked at random

  • Blocko
  • AERGO Foundation team
  • Samsung Blockchain team

Contest Rules

Restricted categories:

  • No adult themes
  • No large investment promising high return type
  • No gambling

Encouraged categories:

  • DeFi
  • Games
  • Social
  • Other

Teams may submit as many DApps as they would like

Individuals or companies may participate

Samsung will determine which DApps will be listed on the Samsung Blockchain DApp Marketplace

Schedule:

Applications will be accepted starting March 11, 2021

DApp submission deadline is September 30, 2021

Winners will be announced on October 15, 2021
