What is Booost v3.0?
First step towards decentralization
The current Booost app which you are accustomed to operates generally as a centralized unit, where your actions, activity and identity operate within Booost servers. It was originally set up in such a way to ensure we were able to ship certain features efficiently. We acknowledge however, that it isn’t in the spirit of web3.
In today’s update, we are setting the foundational principles for a decentralized identity and social platform. Every individual will be assigned a unique Aergo address which every action on the Booost app will accrue towards. Everything will now be recorded on-chain, and importantly BYL will also be reflected within individually assigned wallets.
Over the course of Q1 2024, we have spent tremendous efforts in creating an infrastructure that provides an optimal web2 user experience with the benefits and ethos of web3. Users will be able to enjoy the Booost app seamlessly, without the need to sign transactions at every step of the way, yet having the ability to record all of their activities on-chain. We believe that this is a foundational step for consumer social dApps that will onboard millions into web3.
Booost, a key component of Aergo’s consumer ecosystem
As Aergo’s first incubated project, we are excited to take this first major step with our partner and investor. Since our beta launch, we have successfully leveraged Aergo’s blockchain and its ability to perform at scale with enterprise grade reliability.
Today’s update represents our collective pursuit towards expanding Aergo’s consumer ecosystem. In this endeavour, Booost will serve as the entry to onboarding more users onto the Aergo blockchain, consequently driving further utility and use cases for the Aergo token.
