Aergo Talks #12 Recap: HPP Testnet Launch, Token Questions, and What Comes Next

This week’s Aergo Talks (#12) was packed with major updates from the Aergo and HPP teams.

🎉HPP Testnet Is Live

The biggest announcement this week? The launch of the HPP Testnet. As Ben confirmed, the long-awaited testnet is officially live, marking a critical milestone in the transition from Aergo to HPP. The team emphasized that this is not only a technical achievement but a strategic step toward mainnet deployment later this year.

For users tracking the evolution of the Aergo token, this signals forward momentum toward the minting and migration processes that will define the new HPP era.

What Is the Testnet?

Ben explained the role of the testnet clearly for the audience. At its core, the testnet enables:

  • Testing of the HPP chain under real-world conditions
  • Onboarding and trial deployment of new apps and AI-powered use cases
  • Validation of token infrastructure and smart contract integrations

In short, it is a live sandbox environment for developers, users, and partners to interact with HPP infrastructure before the full mainnet goes live. The team remains on track to deliver mainnet by Q4 2024.

Track Progress via the Living Roadmap

To support transparency, the Aergo Foundation has published a

living roadmap

. This live document tracks ongoing technical tasks, internal progress, and ecosystem milestones, all in real time. Users are encouraged to explore it and stay engaged with weekly updates.

HPP Token Status & Listings

Is the HPP token live? Not yet. As Ben clarified, the token will go live with the mainnet launch, not during the testnet phase. As for listings, the team is optimistic about broad support but cannot confirm specific exchanges yet.

Ben noted: “We hope that HPP will be listed everywhere Aergo is, and more. But listings depend on exchange decisions, and we’re actively working on those conversations.”

❓ Community Questions

One of the session’s highlights was an open Q&A from the community:

  • Ambassador Program? Not planned in the immediate future. The team is focused on onboarding real builders and use cases into the HPP ecosystem.
  • Partnership Referral Program? While not active now, Ben suggested the team is open to a future program that rewards those who bring serious builders and teams into the ecosystem.
  • AI Project Sneak Peek Ralph hinted at upcoming HPP-native AI projects like ArenAI, a decentralized trading protocol powered by autonomous agents. No technical specs disclosed yet, but it will offer platform-independent access and potentially attract institutional users as well.

Zealy Sprint Winners

During the session, Ralph also announced the publication of the latest Zealy Sprint Winners. Thirty community members have earned rewards for their participation, marking another strong week of engagement.

Wrapping Up

HPP is off to a strong start with the testnet live and the roadmap in motion. As the team looks ahead to mainnet, community feedback and ecosystem participation will play a central role in shaping what comes nex

Until next week—onward.
