There seems to be some confusion about what Mainnet 2.0 means for current token holders.
Mainnet is scheduled for release at the end of November and requires a hardfork to implement new features including voting rewards and staking (as well as many others)
This hard fork does NOT affect current token holders, You do not have to do anything, think of it as an upgrade to the AERGO blockchain.
THERE IS NO REQUIRED TOKEN SWAP NEEDED
AERGO tokens currently exist in multiple forms. First we have our;
ERC20 and BEP2 token. These will be used for liquidity and trading purposes (to be used on exchanges, stored on compatible wallets including hardware wallets)
These DO NOT need to be swapped at any time as we have a bridge between Ethereum and Binance chain (currently in the form of an optional swap)
We then have our Native token. This token is used only for activities on the AERGO blockchain, this includes voting / staking which will be released in the near future. This token can not be traded on exchanges which is why we will always keep the tokens above. You are NOT required to do any token swaps. No exchanges need to support this and you are safe holding on to any version of the AERGO token above, without the need for a mandatory token swap.
